With skyrocketing course material prices and significant administrative costs associated with its textbook vendor, Hodges University knew it needed to make a change.

Noah Lamb, Director of Student Account Services & Auxiliary Operations at Hodges University, partnered with Ed Map to navigate the migration to digital content and align to what’s relevant to their university’s students — affordable and engaging course materials.

Affordable course content was a goal for Hodges. Noah knew that cost-conscious students were faced with a choice. Buy an overpriced book or forego purchasing the course material altogether and spend their limited dollars elsewhere. That left little guarantee students would have what they needed to be successful from the start. It was the new approach that offered students the most up-to-date content right from their learning environment, Noah shares, “Students are automatically opted into the course materials that takes them to a cart that shows their required course materials and allows them to opt-out if they so desire.” It’s mobile friendly on any device you have in your hand as well.

Additionally, manual procedures are a thing of the past. Being able to automate the import and export of data made a significant impact on time for Noah and his team. “Working with Ed Map allows us to become analysts of the data instead of just being data pushers,” said Noah.
